NetSynergy Virtual Solutions Takes Top Honors at SMARTstart Challenge

March 1, 2016

Saint Leo, Fla. (March 1, 2016) — Five Pasco County entrepreneurs took to the stage last week in the final round of the second annual SMARTstart Challenge.  In the end, only one emerged victorious—NetSynergy Virtual Solutions.  With their first place win, Chris Moranci and Dagma Moranci received $1,000 in startup capital, courtesy of Goin’ Postal Franchise Corp. Zephyrhills, and a six-month, off-site membership at the SMARTstart Dade City Incubator, courtesy of Pasco Economic Development Council.

They and the other finalists presented their respective business plans before a panel of judges and a live audience at TECO Hall on the campus of Saint Leo University.

NetSynergy’s Chris Moranci introduced their gift card app to the panel of judges.  The app, currently in beta testing, manages multiple gift cards in one location providing real-time card balances and the ability to share card “ownership” with others with the app.  NetSynergy anticipates approximately 150 vendors/merchants will be integrated into the service upon launch.

Winner of the 2015 SMARTstart Challenge, Brian Anderson of Veterans Alternative Therapy, acted as emcee for this year’s event.  “I am so happy I took part in last year’s event,” Anderson laughed.  “There were five great business pitches this year.  It would have been even more difficult for us amidst this strong field of competitors.”

Second and third place winners took home $600 and $400 respectively courtesy of the Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce.  Tracy Ingram of BioScanR was named as the second place winner while Jasmine Sweet, Bethann Reynolds, and Kristy Niccolls of Collegiate Café came in third place.
